Osabuohien Osaretin, professionally known as Sarz, is an award-winning Nigerian record producer, DJ, entrepreneur, and musician widely regarded as one of the architects of modern Afrobeats. Recognized by his signature tags, “Sarz on the Beat” and “Really,” he has helped shape the global sound of African music through collaborations with artists including Wizkid, Beyoncé, Drake, Lojay, BNXN, and Niniola. Since breaking into the industry in 2007, Sarz has built an influential catalog of hit records and acclaimed projects. He is the founder of The Sarz Academy, a Lagos-based talent incubator for emerging producers, and the founder of 1789Musictech, a forward-thinking record label dedicated to developing and amplifying African talent. In 2025, he released his debut studio album, Protect Sarz At All Costs. Most recently, he teamed up with BNXN on the collaborative EP The Game Needs Us, led by the standout single Back Outside.
